  3. This looks very much like a Dutch New Year’s eve tradition. The Dutch are making this treat already since the 17th century. These apple rings probably find their origins in the Roman empire.

  4. This is a typical treat we eat in the Netherlands during New Years Eve. We call them Apple Beignets. Sometimes instead of batter we use puff pastry and fry them, but either way it’s fine. I love them!
